When Marta and Andrea told me their story, it took me a moment to visualize the ring I would create for them; the key words were “night” and “stars”: there was no doubt, a star-shaped ring with sapphire was going to be born!

For once I feel superstitious: The meeting of Marta and Andrea was truly written in the stars, and so was the creation of their star ring.
Marta is an astronomer; as a child she already had a passion for the sky and the constellations. And he would recite continuously the poem by Gianni Rodari that says that the stars “are more than a hundred times a hundred thousand”. Today, his life takes place mostly at night, in observatories around the world, with his nose up – metaphorically, because he explained to me that now the sky is viewed on the computer screen!
Andrea is a technician; he intervenes when something is not working in the telescopes. Fortunately, one day something broke and he and Marta met each other. The first kiss we gave each other was under a sky dotted with sparkles, And when they told me this story, the first thing that came to my mind was a star ring.

It seemed natural to all three to use a precious stone blue, So, on my advice, Marta and Andrea chose one Burmese sapphire oval cut. To design the shape of the inlay, I did a lot of research; I wanted to drawing a white gold ring with a star that it was classic and original at the same time and very bright.
The structure can be considered a revision of the famous Ring of Fire. Kate Middleton, Sober and sophisticated: I positioned the sapphire in the center, surrounding it with five light points. In the creation, Instead of using an industrial six-point saw, I created one from a sheet of’white gold The hammer-shaped base for the stone was thrown away; this remarkable detail adds more character to the ring.. Finally, I thought of positioning the star-shaped pulley with Sapphire and the light points on a half-round, curved resume.
The star ring was one of them. Difficult challenge and she is beautiful, and Marta's look when she handed it to her made me feel happy!
