My creations depend on a precise ethical vision. I personally design each piece of jewellery and create it with my own hands: everything is handcrafted, produced individually, not in series.. Unique and unrepeatable. Keep reading and you will see, in detail, why I talk about an ethical ring.
I want my rings to symbolise, in addition to great love, respect for the environment and for humanity. For this use only Certified ethical diamonds, sourced from Canada; Every single diamond is traceable, because it has a unique identification code laser-engraved on its girdle. These particular ethical diamonds are mined according to strict Canadian government laws that follow three core principles: 1) worker safety; 2) respect for local populations; 3) total environmental responsibility.
What are conflict diamonds instead? Blood diamonds are diamonds extracted from war zones, then sold clandestinely to finance the armies of “warlords” and are therefore absolutely untraceable. A ring cannot be ethical if it is stained with blood!
A 100% ethical engagement ring is, in fact, synonymous with a 100% certified ethical gold ring. Just as Fairmined, the gold I use for my ethical rings and which I have been licensed for since 2019. Fairmined ethical gold comes from Colombia, Peru and Bolivia and is extracted and marketed according to the criteria of Fairtrade and Fairmined Certification.
Fairmined gold comes from mining operations where the miners are themselves cooperators or co-owners of the sites. They work safely and are protected, extracting Fairmined gold using environmentally sustainable methods. The mining cooperatives report to ALLIANCE FOR RESPONSIBLE MINING, the organisation that verifies its equitable sustainability. Mines that join the project are issued with a certification that establishes how Fairmined Gold is extracted and marketed with respect for the territory where the gold deposits are located and its inhabitants.
Fairmined gold also stands out because it is extracted, where possible, prioritizing mechanical separation methods, in some cases using a sieve; otherwise, within strict environmental regulations, the limited use of mercury is permitted, whose chemical properties are exploited using the “retort”, a technique that prevents its dispersion into the air.
The ethical ring is the product of fair and solidarity-based work. Your moment to remember will become twice as special.
Help make your life on your own planet better: The ethical ring is more beautiful. Write to me!
