How the idea for a diamond-drop engagement ring came about

He and she are ophthalmologists. He had imagined for her a ring with two stones, but at some point we realized that the right solution was another one: a ring with a drop-shaped diamond. Thus was born a jewel that truly evokes the magic, the brilliance and the depth of a gaze!

The initial idea was to create a personalized engagement ring with a ruby and diamond of different diameters.

Andrea had never thought about a precious stone in a drop, he imagined a personalized engagement ring with two round-cut stones side by side: a diamond and a ruby. Of course, the diamond, having a refractive index higher than that of all the other stones, would have been of lower quality - therefore smaller - than the ruby, otherwise it would have completely taken the spotlight away from it. I worked on this idea for prepare a sketch on paper, But looking at the image we realized that The curved shapes I had designed undoubtedly led to a drop-shaped engagement ring.

Here I am studying the shape of the drop-shaped engagement ring; on a white gold Moebius ribbon I have drawn the holes.

The personalized drop ring I created is made up of two parallel mirrored Moebius ribbons, one in rose gold and the other in white gold that recall the symbol of infinity. Enclosed between the two ribbons is a stunning drop-cut diamond set in a very delicate setting. The tapes are decorated with a row of holes that Andrea asked me to make it after seeing the My collection of silver jewelry.

The diamond-drop engagement ring, the ring symbolizing infinity, which I designed with Andrea for his girlfriend, is a shining example of this principle. teamwork that I love to do with my clients. Thanks Andrea!
